Protein A chromatography resins are a well-established and convenient tool in downstream processing of monoclonal antibody therapeutics. However, this method has a mass-dependent scaling on the cost of manufacturing, hindering the affordability of these crucial medicines. I help investigate novel protein A alternatives, in the hopes of alleviating this burden. Outside of the lab, I read, play Nintendo games, and homebrew.
