Research

Accurately detecting foodborne pathogens prior to human infection is crucial to reduce the incidence of foodborne illnesses. Unfortunately, there is a lack of quality biosensors to detect foodborne pathogens, particularly in locations where the burden of disease is greatest. My research focuses on developing rapid biosensors for foodborne pathogen detection using engineered binding proteins.

Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing soccer and taking long walks with my lab, Nala.
